NHS Carlisle South Hub Cleaning Team Celebrates Their Beloved i-mop
In February 2023, the NHS Carlisle South Hub Cleaning Team welcomed a new member to their hospital and facilities team: an i-Mop, which until recently we were unaware had quickly earned the affectionate name “Percy.”
Percy is not just any cleaning machine to the team, who were impressed from the first demo, appreciating not only its efficiency but also the guidance and training they received. Over time, their i-Mop became more than equipment—it became a symbol of care, diligence, and teamwork and the team have kept Percy in pristine condition from day one, a testament to their professionalism and pride in their work.
The name “Percy” carries an even deeper meaning for all concerned, and we were touched when we learned of the name, as it was chosen in memory of Percy, a dedicated and much-loved Capital Power Clean colleague who sadly lost his battle with cancer in March 2024. Percy’s commitment to his clients and his genuine warmth left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him and finding the team have named their i-Mop after him, has given us a welcome reminder of his dedication and the impact he had. We are proud to recognise their diligence and very much appreciate Percy’s spirit is being kept alive through the care and work of the Carlisle South Hub Cleaning Team.
